Adam and Woody Debate The Best Batman Ever

The debate continues over who was the best Batman of all time? Those vying for a spot on Fan Wars have gone back and forth, some siding with Christian Bale, others Adam West. Who would the tandem of Adam and Woody choose as the Best Batman of all-time?

Fittingly, in the grand spirit Fan Wars, each took their own side, Woody declaring Christian Bale the most accurate while Adam said Michael Keaton had the best portrayal of the Dark Knight.

“Keaton’s Batman commits the ultimate crime — he kills a man by shoving a stick of dynamite down his throat!” says Woody.

“Did Ra’s al Ghul not die in a horrible subway crash that Batman caused!?” rebukes Adam.

Whose side are you on…think you can make a better case than either of these guys? Choose a topic and submit your video today!

You’re both wrong. There is only one Batman and his name is Kevin Conroy. You needn’t look any further than the first minute and a half of this Nostalgia Critic video for proof: http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/nostalgia-critic/32071-top-11-batman-tas-episodes

conroy has the best and most iconic batman voice…but that is all he had to do, sit in a booth n talk like batman/bruce…which sounded the same…you should be calling the artists and animators of the series the best batman in this case lol

I am a fan of Micheal Keatons portrayal in tim burtons more comicbook adaptation of batman, however the comicbook theme is being raped by marvel (not that i don’t enzoy them), chris nolan took a huge risk of stepping away and making a realistic batman, and christian bale did just that in his portrayal as both bruce wayne and the dark knight, literally developing a second life as the caped crusader by changing himself comppletely, which i think keaton’s didn’t quite do…making the ultimate sacrifices=bale…being the wolrds greates detective=bale…showing all the emotion of having to live a double life, one of which he unfortunately has to=bale…in my opinion keaton had a good batman voice…

Key point that I disagree with Adam. He states that Bruce Wayne creates the image of Batman to deal and Bale does not do as well of a job “turning into Batman”. To me, a main point of the Nolan versions and with other psychologists who have examined the Batman mythos, arrive at the conclusion that the persona of Batman is who the true persona of Bruce Wayne is. The idea of Bruce Wayne, the playboy millionaire is referenced by Bruce and Rachel in Batman Begins as “not being him.”

This to me is why his Bruce Wayne can be considered boring and dry to you because it is not who he truly is and he is therefore bored with being him. Bruce does not turn into Batman because he IS Batman.

no offense to adam and woody (also, is woody a real name? because if it is, it’s sort of sexy in a forest-y way), but i would purport that in fact, the best batman is zach galifianakis. no, he has not been batman in any movies yet, but i believe that when he gets the chance to be cast as batman in a big hollywood batman movie, he will be better than any of them. i have many reasons to support my argument, my first reason being that zach galifianakis is a triple threat. that is, he is extremely good looking (first threat), he is very great at being funny (that’s the second), and lastly or thirdly, i have it on good authority that he is a nice person. thank you, i conclude the first part of my argument on this topic. love, zachfan09

When i picture bruce wayne in reality i see Val Kilmer. He was by far the best batman. He was an effective mix of the tortured millionaire like Keaton but besides his rogue gallery (mostly just Joker) his Batman acting was forgettable. Bale has amazing action as batman but that voice is soo irritating I don’t listen to batman anymore i just wait for the next punch. I love the nolan movies, especially TDK because of the Ledger Joker. The Nolan movies make it seem real but I don’t read Batman for reality, I read for the fantastic stories and characters. In BF, Kilmer played a clearly tortured Bruce who is torn between the high life and the night life. He also held his own with a cast of legends in the business, Jones 2-face, Arnold’s Freeze, and Thurman’s Ivy were all straight off the pages. I prefer Carey’s Riddler to the actual one from the pages. All this star power could have drown out Kilmer but he drove the story and had me engrossed and always wondering what exactly was going on in the head of Bruce.

    • Donnell says:

Oh and side note. He doesn’t break the rule, No murder on Kilmer’s hands in this one. The only bad thing about Kilmer is he only got one shot at the cowl.

Ok you ALL Have it WRONG!!!!!!!!! Adam West is the ONLY BATMAN!!!!!!

  7. Mike Block says:

The Bat Rasp KILLED Nolan’s movies for me, It sounded like he had throat cancer. Also when Bale was in the bat-suit he obviously couldn’t breath through his nose cause his damn mouth was never closed(mouth breathing batman). All the other actors aside I do agree with Adam, Michael Keaton was the best Batman. His Batman was ripped straight off the pages of comic books and so was his villains. THEY DIDNT EVEN PRONOUNCE RAS AL GHOULS NAME RIGHT!!! They kept saying “Ras” and its pronounced as “Raish”. How can I be a fan of Bails Batman when he cant even keep and iconic villain’s name right!
